Respond to Reading:
The Jamie Drake Equation

In this lesson set, we are listening and responding to the novel ‘The Jamie Drake Equation’ by Christopher Edge. This is a good companion novel for your Outer Space unit, following the adventures of a young boy and extra-terrestrial life. The ‘Respond to Reading’ tasks are set per chapter, with a choice of 2 different tasks per reading. You will find everything you need to get started with this station down below.

Book Availability

Down below, you'll find a direct link to purchase this book from an Irish supplier. I have built up a collection of 4/5 copies of some of my most used novels over the years for station teaching. I find this particularly useful with thematic novels.

Station Instructions

You can download the instructions sheet that accompanies this station. I usually stick this inside the A4 plastic organiser boxes that move with each station. The W.A.L.T is useful to keep the children focused on the station.
